I’ve taken a new job here recently. It’s a position that runs late night into early morning, so I’m not sure how often I will post.
Any post that is likely to happen will be later in the day than I usually have been posting. Hopefully it won’t interfere any more than any other job I’ve taken.
Currently I have a day off, so I spent it writing. I think things are coming along nicely with my motley crew of wannabe space colonists in my latest book. We’ll see what else I can throw at them, and how they’ll react, but so far I think they’re doing nicely.
It’s fun and interesting to see some of my ideas actually coming to reality, at least according to my research. I had a notion several years ago about something, and here it is on the internet already going forward. Perhaps the world will look similar to the future I’m writing down now. It’s always exciting, at least for me, to see something new come to light, and space has always excited me doubly so.
As it is now I must go out and read more so I can put a little bit more reality in this book, but so far it’s shaping up nicely. I hope to have it done in maybe a year’s time. But who knows, I could get in a crazy mood and knock it out in mere months like my first book. The first draft of Deathship took only a month to write, but I had more time then.
I think my writing has improved greatly since then, and I’ve even received some feedback from a fan saying that Walk On is excellent. I hope so, or at least I hope people have a good time reading it. I put my heart into that one, and I wound up crying in a couple of scenes each time I read them. Hopefully it conveys the emotions I intended.
I’ll talk to you all later, for now I hope you find something interesting to occupy your time.
