YAY MARRIAGE

I’m very happy. America has finally decided that people who love the same gender can get married legally. That in itself seems like a rather wonderful thing. It’s a step in the right direction, because to me it means it gives the individual more rights over their own life.

However I worry things like this, and the confederate flag debacle lead us to distraction. Are we no longer worried about what is in the TPP? Do we no longer care that there are discussions about limiting access to the internet? My worry is that people in power use such things to distract us from matters they deem more important.

Matters again like the TPP. Where there is very little in the way written about trade, and much more written about how to control the populace. We don’t have access to the entirety of what is planned, however we do have some idea thanks to the leaks from brave individuals.

Be happy. Allowing gender not to be important in deciding who can marry who is wonderful. But do not allow it to distract you from the chains that they try to lay upon you. Vigilance is key at this point, but if it goes on much longer even vigilance won’t protect you. They will bind you tightly, and take away anything they deem necessary.
